NIST Cybersecurity Professional®

(NCSP®) 800‑44 Foundation Certificate

Course Description

Public web servers are frequent targets for cyber-attacks due to their accessibility and critical role in delivering services. NIST SP 800‑44 provides authoritative guidance for securing web servers, applications, and supporting infrastructure.

The NCSP® 800‑44 Foundation Certificate is a 2‑day, instructor‑led course introducing participants to the principles and practices of web server security as defined in NIST SP 800‑44. This course explains how to secure web server configurations, protect applications, manage certificates, and align web security practices with NIST CSF 2.0.

Participants learn how to apply foundational web security concepts across servers, applications, and networks, preparing them for more advanced NCSP® application and infrastructure security training.

What You Will Learn
